The Heart Behind the Plate

I grew up in a culinary household where food was the heartbeat of our family life. Some of my earliest memories are of creating dishes alongside my mother, herself a talented chef. That immersion taught me that food is more than sustenance; it is connection, creativity, and care. My training began as a child and has evolved throughout my life, taking me from high-end kitchens and private homes to teaching hands-on culinary classes and even sharing the science of food and wellness as a family & consumer sciences teacher focused on nutrition.

In 2012, after losing my mother to cancer, I felt called to deepen my work at the intersection of health and cuisine. I earned my Health Coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and expanded my expertise to help others transform their relationship with food. Since then, I’ve continued to cook for busy families, craft menus that blend nutrition science with seasonal, flavorful cooking, and design experiences that make eating well both easy and enjoyable.
